Malachite is a vibrant green, (a colour i cant see) copper carbonate hydroxide mineral known for its banded, botryoidal (grape-like), and fibrous structures. Renowned for its rich green, opaque appearance, used historically as a pigment. It is relatively soft, with a Mohs hardness of 3.5
Found extensively in Australia, particularly in Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia. As a secondary copper mineral forming in the oxidation zone of copper deposits, it is commonly found alongside azurite, cuprite, and chrysocolla.
